Admissions Policy


This policy outlines the terms and conditions governing course cancellations, refunds, scholarships, and course changes at Breakthrough Education ("the Institution"). By enrolling in a course and making payment, whether in full or partially, the student and their legal guardian acknowledges and agrees to the following terms:

General Conditions

1.1 Breakthrough Education reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify classes as necessary. The Institution also reserves the right to cancel a student’s enrolment at any time.

1.4 The Institution reserves the right to enforce this policy strictly, and no exceptions will be made unless explicitly approved in writing by the management.

 

Non-Refundable Deposit

2.1 A non-refundable deposit is required to secure a placement in a course. Once paid, this deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.

2.2 There are no refunds for materials purchased.

After Course Commencement
3.1 Once a course has commenced, students are not eligible to cancel their enrolment or receive any refund of fees paid.
3.2 This policy applies to all tuition fees, deposits, and administrative costs associated with the course.

Before Course Commencement
4.1 If a student cancels their enrolment before the official course commencement date, they may be eligible for a refund, subject to the following conditions:

  • A written cancellation request must be submitted to the Institution.

  • A non-refundable deposit ($400 for classes and $500 for the UCAT program) will be deducted from the refund, along with a $200 administration fee.

  • Refunds will be processed within two weeks of approval.

Institutional Cancellations
5.1 If the Institution cancels a course before it commences, students will receive a full refund of all fees paid, including deposits.
5.2 If the Institution cancels a course after commencement due to unforeseen circumstances, a partial refund will be provided on a pro-rata basis.

Scholarship Terms and Conditions

6.1 Scholarships are available to eligible students enrolling in approved courses and covers 10% to 100% of the tuition fees. The remaining percentage of fees must be paid as per the Institution’s payment schedule.

6.2 The scholarship is non-transferable and cannot be deferred.

6.3 Scholarships for students in Years 3 to 6 will be valid through to the completion of their final term in Year 6.

6.4 Scholarships for students in Years 7 to 12 will remain in effect until the conclusion of their final term in Year 12.

6.5 If a student withdraws, defers, or amends their enrolment (including course changes, reduced study load, or transfers to another institution), they must repay the full 10% scholarship amount within 30 days.

6.6 The Institution may amend or withdraw the scholarship if the recipient breaches any terms and conditions of their enrolment or scholarship conditions.

Course Change Policy
7.1 All course changes, including but not limited to changes in course times, subjects, or venues, are strictly prohibited unless approved in writing by the Institution’s management. The Institution reserves the right to deny any course change request at its sole discretion.
7.2 Requests for course changes must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable) and will only be considered under exceptional circumstances, supported by valid documentation. Verbal requests to teachers, tutors, or staff will not be recognised under any circumstances.
7.3 Once a student has enrolled in a subject, they cannot transfer to another subject, and fees paid for the original subject cannot be transferred or applied to another course or subject.
7.4 Unauthorised changes to course times, subjects, or venues will result in additional fees or the forfeiture of all fees paid.
7.5 Approved course changes, if granted, will be subject to availability and may incur additional administrative fees as determined by the Institution.

This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

  • When necessary to facilitate payment processing (e.g., banks, payment providers)

Marketing rights remain with Breakthrough Education in relation to the use of the student names.
