At its core Breakthrough Education does not simply offer tutoring sessions, we offer an experience. The Breakthrough Program has been designed to maximise the student's results by helping them to master the mechanics of learning (i.e. how to solve equations) and more importantly to unleash their motivation which enables them to achieve success. Our method of teaching has been tested, refined and improved each year and our results reflect the success of our approach. The simple formula we apply to help students achieve success can be summarised below:

1. We help students get a clear outcome - What is it that they want?

From experience we have found that those who know what they want (i.e. what VCE ENTER score they want to achieve or what course they want to get into) perform on average better than those who don’t know their precise goal. We will help students understand at a very early stage precisely what it is they want. This is achieved through our career planning workshops held at the start of the year. In these workshops we'll bring students from a range of university degrees including: Health sciences (medicine & dentistry); Commerce (marketing, economics, business); Science (engineering, science); and Humanities (arts & media)

2. Why they must achieve it?

The next step to success is helping students discover the reasons for why they must achieve their desired outcome. This is done every term through our motivational seminars. Here we help students discover themselves and their habits. They will come to understand what drives their behaviour, why they do what they do and most importantly learn the skills to change their behaviour so that become motivated to achieve their goals.

3. We help students develop strategies for achievement.

The week by week programs have designed to help achieve the best result for our students. After many years of learning, experimenting and teaching we have come to discover the most effective way to optimising student results can be boiled down to having a two to one ratio of group and individual tutoring sessions, coupled with a wide range of interactive and easily accessible resources.

4. We create accountability and guidance through mentoring and modelling.

Almost all of our students were able to achieve results above their own expectations, however many did struggle throughout the year. Learning from our experiences, Breakthrough Education will introduce this year a success mentoring program which intends to help students overcome the challenges they face throughout the year. Students will be able to model, receive advise and be kept accountable by successful past graduates of our program. These four components form the core of the Breakthrough Experience. We are convinced about the effectiveness Breakthrough’s methodology in ensuring students achieve their goals and expectations.
